Brightening up the mood on a gloomy, rainy day

Heavy rainfall over the last few days led to Motu Villas manager Tim Meyer taking a paddle board out at flooded Teimurimotia Park in Titikaveka.

Meyer said taking out the paddle board in the field on Monday was “one of those magical moments”.

“This morning when I rocked up to work, I was like ‘you know what it’s deep enough now to bring our standup paddleboards out’,” he said yesterday.

For a $5 donation Meyer said people were able to get a photo on the paddleboard. The money was to raise funds for the Titikaveka grassroots football team which was meant to train on the field.
