Hawaiian Airlines is the logical choice to replace Air New Zealand as it already services LAX, NZ, and Tahiti. This would round out their South Pacific hub by adding CI. Have HAL been approached?

Breaks our hearts. After visiting regularly for over 20 years, it looks like we will never have the easy flight from Los Angeles to paradise. Flights with connections bring too many problems for us old folks. I just want to cry. Laura Morin
