The COOKS are leading the way in COVID response they are far far far ahead of NZ I would not use NZ as a gauge on what to do and I'm a Kiwi myself. The Cook Islands needs its own stand alone strategy for fully vaccinated visitors in and out negative testing and a well maintained and monitored COVID tracing system. The Cooks vaccination rate is the highest in the southern hemisphere a feat to be valued and proud of.

It has maintained a mitigation strategy that with high vaccination rates seems to have kept Covid reasonably well in check. Sally Wyatt
