Female triathletes gear up for annual challenge
Cook Islands Triathlon says the BSP Women’s Triathlon will be fun to watch especially the challenge between the competitors at the front where mothers will compete with daughters. CITA/23032104

Cook Islands Triathlon Association is looking forward to the annual BSP Women’s Triathlon Competition which will be held this coming Saturday, March 18, at the Enua Manea Hall in Tikioki.

The event is a firm favourite in the triathlon calendar and a hotly contested competition.

The distance of 400 metre swim, 16-kilometre cycle and 4km run can be completed either as an individual or as part of a team.

All ladies are welcome to enter and registration can be made via the website www.rarotri.com. Entrants should arrive at 1pm for race numbering and setting up their gear, the race briefing will be at 1.45pm and the race starts at 2pm prompt.  

Cook Islands Triathlon in a statement said: “It will be fun to watch the challenge between the competitors at the front where mothers will compete with daughters, and teams of friends will try and outplace those doing the full event individually. Come and join the fun and cheer on the special ladies.”
