Does anyone else notice that in spite of the Cook Islands becoming wealthy there still no residents with their own private planes. Other wealthy island nations do have private planes. The CI Government should be encouraging private aviation and not imposing high taxes on Aviation Gas for local consumption. The current levy is 25% and is higher than any other fuel. Why? Gone are the days when we used to use aviation gas in our cars.
