Harmonious hymns resonated throughout a packed Ziona Tapu church in Arutanga, Aitutaki, with over 200 parishioners and guests attending a special Sunday service to commemorate the Bi-Centennial Celebration of the arrival of Christianity to the island.

Well known personality George George from Rarotonga attended the Ziona Tapu church where he was baptised, with his 89-year-old aunt Nane Puruata.

“It’s very special to be here during this historic 200-year commemoration celebration,” said George, who was raised across the road from the church.
