These figures highlight that charging for water encourages more responsible usage while conserving this vital resource for the community.
To Tatou Vai (TTV) CEO Apii Timoti commended commercial users for their efforts in conserving water and urged all residents to adopt similar practices.
“The current tariff model helps customers appreciate the value of water," he said. "Over time, we expect this awareness to strengthen conservation efforts across all sectors.
“The usage data we’re receiving is promising, but we know there is still work to be done. Water conservation is everyone’s responsibility, and it starts with understanding that water has value.”
