Former Tau engineer backs Date on electrocution allegations
Hideki Date, who served the Cook Islands through TAU and as a Japan national gained his Cook Islands permanent residency while working for TAU, quit his job mainly because he feared for his life after four TAU employees were electrocuted from a workplace accident which took place in August this year. Another former engineer for the power authority, Te Aponga Uira (TAU) who wished not to be identified due to the seriousness of the issue regarding the four TAU staff who were electrocuted, has supported the controversial allegations by electrical technician Hideki Date.
