Empire bridge near completion

Work on the Empire Bridge is almost complete, with just a few jobs left.

The $5 million Empire Bridge replacement, which began on August 11 last year, is now in the final stages of its construction, with vehicles passing through both sides.  

The final job will involve laying asphalt. The original Empire Bridge was open to traffic on January 17, 1906.
