Apii Avarua Celebrate Kia Orana Day

Apii Avarua yesterday celebrated their weekly Friday Kia Orana Day theme with a difference by celebrating the 2024 Cook Islands Games which closed last week.

The Year 8, Pam Solomona class of senior students were excited and proud to wear their t-shirts to school representing their respective islands.

Jayden Angene, aged 12, was proud to have earnt a silver medal in these Cook Islands Games for playing in the Under 14 touch rugby team for Team Rarotonga.

He also participated in the 2022 Cook Islands Games receiving a bronze medal for touch rugby. “I was excited to be in the Games again it gives me a chance to make myself a name in sports,” said Angene.
