Missing teen: Police exhausted efforts to locate him, says Pitt
Timoa Kokoria, 19, has been missing since July 24, 2022. Police said they have exhausted all efforts to locate him. 22111512.

Cook Islands Police say they have exhausted all efforts to locate a Kiribati national who has been missing since 2022.

Timoa Kokoria, 19 at the time he went missing in July 2022 in Rarotonga, has not been seen for over two years.

His whereabouts are still a mystery.

Kokoria was last sighted when his relative dropped him off at a Rutaki bus stop at around 3pm on July 24, 2022. He was reported missing on July 27.

That same year, in November police had stepped up their search after having reports of sightings, and they had asked for the public’s assistance.

Last year, police strategic and media advisor Trevor Pitt said the case remained open and subject to further queries for any information about the missing teen.

This week, Pitt said there was no information on the reported missing Kiribati national.

“Police exhausted efforts to locate him.”
