A Cook Islands law firm has been announced as the newest member of the Pacific Legal Network (PLN).

Rokoika Law, a boutique law firm based in Rarotonga, joins the Network, which prides itself on being the leading provider of legal and business advisory services in the region.

Under the leadership of Lavi Rokoika, Rokoika Law has established itself as an experienced provider of legal services in a wide range of practice areas including corporate law, real estate, and intellectual property, a statement from PLN said.

Rokoika brings over 20 years legal experience including an instrumental role in shaping significant laws in the region such as Fiji’s Air Navigation Regulations and the Cook Islands’ Transport and Public Health Laws, demonstrating her in-depth understanding of the legal landscape.

“Lavi has a great ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, seamlessly bridging social, economic, and cultural differences. Her exceptional interpersonal skills, combined with a deep sense of empathy, make her a sought-out advisor, offering clients support and confidence throughout their legal experience.”

PLN’s John Ridgway said: “I am really delighted to announce that Rokoika Law in Cook Islands has joined the Pacific Legal Network. We have enjoyed working with the team in Cook Islands over recent years and especially with Lavi Rokoika. This recent addition to our network highlights the commitment of Pacific Legal Network to supporting local law firms across the region, from the very large Pacific jurisdictions to the smallest.”

“We have a number of statistics that we are very proud of. We operate in 22 locations across 15 Pacific jurisdictions, and - even better - more than 60 per cent of our member firms have majority female ownership and management, with the addition of Rokoika Law adding to that growing percentage and is certainly a key ingredient to our amazing success.”

Rokoika expressed her enthusiasm about joining the Pacific Legal Network, stating, “Joining the Pacific Legal Network marks an exciting new chapter for Rokoika Law P.C. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering high-quality legal services tailored to the unique needs of our clients in the Cook Islands and beyond.”

“We look forward to working with the talented professionals at PLN to strengthen our capacity to provide effective legal solutions across the Pacific region.”

The Pacific Legal Network provides the only co-ordinated legal service offering multi-jurisdictional access to lawyers across the Pacific, simplifying the process of being represented in multiple countries.
