Around 70 inclusive education students from Rarotonga schools and the Creative Centre took part in the event.
One of the event organisers, Richelle Gempton said everyone was brought together to “move, learn and discover” – which are the three pillars of Olympic Day which will be celebrated on Thursday.
“It’s been really good today (yesterday), everyone has had a great time,” Gempton said.
“There’s big support from everyone here, we’ve got lots of volunteers and support teachers from the schools which is awesome and they’re having just as much fun as the kids.”
There were five different stations for participants which included a gymnastics station and a throwing station.
There were also colouring and activity stations for those who didn’t want to or couldn’t participate in the move part.
Today, the Mini Olympics will be held at the National Stadium and for Olympic Day tomorrow, there is a fun run around Rarotonga Golf Course.
