The World Day of Prayer International Committee (WDPIC) from around the globe honoured the late Henrica Wilson Marona, the former president of the Cook Islands committee. This year, the Cook Islands Christian women are proud to be hosting the global event, which will be observed today in Rarotonga at Te Are Karioi/National Auditorium, starting at 5pm.
The evening will begin with a video screening, followed by the prayer service at 6pm.
Every woman on the island is welcome to attend this special event.
Cook Islands will lead women from different denominations in over 200 countries in celebration of the 2025 World Day of Prayer
The theme is “I Made You Wonderful” which is based on Psalm 139:1-18.
In January this year, the World Day of Prayer International Committee (WDPIC) paid a visit to Rarotonga.
The Cook Islands WDP committee is led by its president Luduina Williams, supported by women leaders from the six faith-based bodies affiliated to the Religious Advisory Committee.
