Staff vote chooses Imanuela Akatemia’s 2024 prefects

Through a staff voting process, Imanuela Akatemia elected their 2024 student leaders.

Five senior students were inducted as prefects this week. They are Sisa Virianabai, Joel Mateariki, Chikaina O’brien, Mata Manea and Hanna Finau-Sivo

School principal Pita Bolatoga Senibiakula said: “Imanuela Akatemia prefects were chosen through a staff voting process, where members voted for candidates based on qualities such as their character, leadership, responsibility, and positive influence within the school community.”
Wishing the school prefects success in their roles, he said they hoped that the students’ leadership will inspire positive change.

Senibiakula also advised all student leaders in the Cook Islands this year that their dedication matters and they need to keep fostering unity and making a difference.
