Tourism arrivals in the country soared to a record high in the first two months, with a 23 per cent increase in visitors compared to the same period last year.

Unfortunately, this record in visitor arrivals did not extend to at least one of the pa enua. Atiu recorded about a 32% drop in arrivals in the first two months of this year compared with last year.
