A series of incidents were attended to by the Cook Islands Police Service over the weekend, including two motorbike crashes, menacing dogs and stolen money.

On Saturday night, a female motorcyclist crashed on the back road at Betela. The 25-year-old sustained injuries to her arm and forehead.

The second crash occurred on Sunday night at Avana when a 17-year-old motorcyclist collided with a car.

In addition to the crashes, police responded to several road incidents.

On Saturday morning, a motorcyclist was seen stunting near the CITC Supermarket. The rider was later identified.

Five people were also prohibited from driving early Saturday morning for various driving offences.

Two reports of wilful vehicle damage were made.

One complainant described an incident late Saturday night near Aroa Nui Hall in Arorangi, where an oncoming motorcyclist threw an object at her car.

The object, later identified as a torch, was found embedded in the front of the vehicle.

Despite efforts from the driver and a witness, they were unable to track the motorcyclist, who sped off down a side road.

Sunday evening also saw two incidents involving dogs. One of the attacks involved goats, though further details have not been provided.

The weekend also saw reports of theft. Cash was stolen from visitors at Titikaveka on Sunday, and a break-in was reported at a residence in Takuvaine, with money reported missing from the property.

The Cook Islands Police Service continues to investigate these incidents.
