Cook Islands Police attended to three road crashes in the weekend.

Police media and strategic advisor Trevor Pitt said that as of yesterday afternoon there were three crashes that police attended to.

On Friday night at Avatiu, a collision was reported at 8.22pm when a motorcyclist drove out onto the main road from Palace Takeaway and into a car heading from town toward Arorangi.

Pitt said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital.

He confirmed that the driver of the car tested zero for alcohol while a blood specimen has been sought from the motorcyclist.

Another crash was reported early Saturday morning at 3.25am on the backroad of Takuvaine.

A 45 year old motorcyclist was taken to hospital and a blood specimen was sought for analysis.

And late Saturday night at 10.52pm near Takitumu store, two motorbikes were reported to have been involved in a crash.

A 19 year old victim was taken to hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, police also attended to an assault, noise domestic disturbances, a bush fire and stunt riders or wheelie boy’s complaint.
