Ioane represented by defence counsel Norman George appeared before Justice of the Peace Tangi Taoro.
Crown Law prosecutor Tom White requested that the case be transferred to the High Court before a judge.
White said a charge list and the summary of facts was to also to be filed. He added that the charges relate to injuries on two separate persons.
However, defence lawyer George said the case was related to one incident and the charge should only be one and not two.
He said he would be serving the Crown with a notice as the charge should only be one. JP Taoro adjourned the matter to December 13 in the Judge call over.
