A woman charged with four counts of theft as a servant has appeared in court via audio visual link from Manihiki.
Ngatamaine Wireless Pupuke appeared before Justice of the Peace John Whitta in the Criminal Court on Thursday.
Lawyer Tai Nicholas said the defendant had contacted him earlier in the day and he would talk to lawyers Michelle Tangimama or Norman George in an effort to get Pupuke some assistance.
He asked the matter be adjourned to February.
Police said disclosures were ready.
The matter was adjourned to February 8.
