Vaiana Dance, represented by defence counsel Jamie Crawford, was scheduled to face additional charges as heard in the Cook Islands Criminal Court last month, on top of four counts of failure to stop.
Yesterday, she was expected to appear before Justice of the Nadine Newnham, but the case was adjourned to allow more time for counsel.”
Meanwhile, Dance also did not appear in Court last month as her defence lawyer had requested her excuse.
Dance is accused of hit-and-run after colliding with two motorbikes, injuring four teenagers.
The 33-year-old was bailed on the conditions that she is not to interfere with or contact the nor to leave the Cook Islands without the approval of the court.
The incident took place on a Saturday night of late August at a backroad in Nikao when a double cab pickup collided with one of the two motorbikes leaving two lying in the middle of the road.
The second motorcycle, which was behind the first motorcycle that crashed, also crashed, leaving another two teens injured.
Police were contacted for assistance after midnight, after an ambulance had rushed the four teens to hospital.
Three of the injured teens recovered after being attended to by the ambulance service, while one of the two motorcycle drivers was admitted.
