Lawyer Tai Nicholas, who represented the accused yesterday, told Justice of the Peace John Whitta that the defendant is a well-known person in the community.
He volunteered to appear for her yesterday, the defendant has no counsel and would need an appropriate counsel to give her advice. He asked for interim name suppression.

Nicholas told JP Whitta the accused needed advice from her counsel and it would be unfair on the defendant if she did not get proper advice from her counsel.
The accused name has been suppressed and the matter has been adjourned to the Chief Justice call over in March.
