Bail conditions changed, man travels to Pa Enua

A man who faces two counts of indecent assault has had his bail conditions changed allowing him to travel home to the Pa Enua as police wait to speak to two more witnesses.
Details on the accused are suppressed.
Defence counsel Norman George said the defendants bail conditions were to be changed so he would not have to continue reporting to the Police Headquarters as he would need to travel home.
George also said in the event that there will be no witnesses, then the charge would need to be withdrawn and he has advised police this. The accused bail condition has changed for him not to leave the Cook Islands. The matter has been adjourned sine die.
