Tereora College students cheered and rocked to a special preview by New Zealand artists, who entertained the school with a taste of what to expect at tonight’s LG Entertainment Rarodice Concert.

Aotearoa New Zealand artists Sons of Zion, Stallyano and Elena performed on stage at the Princess Anne Hall alongside our very own Samuel James Verlinden aka Sam V, who has roots to Mangaia, receiving a screaming ovation.

The Rarodice concert is the vision of LG Entertainment, established by Cook Islanders, George “GDub” Williams, the 88FM DJ based in Rarotonga, and former Tall Black, Leon Henry, who is based in New Zealand.

Dubbed as Rarotonga’s biggest musical festival, the concert to be held tonight at Te Are Karioi Nui/National Auditorium will feature performances by Sons of Zion (reggae), Swiss and his wife Katerina Manu better known as Tree (reggae), Israel Starr (reggae), Stallyano (hip hop), Sam V (RnB) and Elena (RnB).

“This is a family friendly concert and people can expect a high energy show,” said Williams.

In appreciation for the wonderful reception and display of appreciation from the students, Williams announced that Tereora College students, as well as Titikaveka College and Nukutere College students, will only be charged the very special price of $20 to attend the show tonight.

LG Entertainment also gave away complimentary tickets to Tereora students.

VIP tickets are still available for $120. This area will be cordoned off and is restricted to those 18 and over. If you purchase your VIP ticket through Vodafone E-Moni, it will cost you only $110.

General admission tickets are selling for $50 each using E-Moni, or $60 cash. For children 12 years and under, tickets cost $20 each.

Tickets are available at Vodafone or 88FM as well as Ticketspace, a New Zealand platform online, or at the door at Te Are Karioi.

Doors open at 5.30pm, and the show will kick off at 6.30pm.
