The Cook Islands delegation which included Prime Minister Mark Brown, Minister for Cultural Development George “Maggie” Angene and Kaumaiti Nui Travel Tou Ariki received a warm welcome at the airport yesterday morning.
The delegation members were transported to their motel and spent most of the day registering for the FestPAC and settling down.
Last night, the Cook Islands team was hosted for a welcome dinner by Cook Islanders residing in Hawaii
The team is looking forward to showcasing Cook Islands’ vibrant culture at the world’s largest celebration of indigenous Pacific Islanders.
