Thirty-five members of the Assembly of God youth ministry from Nauru are visiting Rarotonga for two weeks.
The worship delegation came to celebrate the 21st birthday celebration of Tinka Marsters, a Nauruan girl who was raised by CICC Reverend Tere Marsters and his wife in the Cook Islands.
Reverend Evi Agir, leader of the group said they were “happy and blessed” to be here for the special occasion having raised 108k in just two months for this trip.
He acknowledged the Avarua CICC Ekalesia for their welcome and hospitality while they are staying at the Sinai Hall.
“Our aim is reaching out to the young people we have in Nauru who have been in trouble, we are trying to reach them and teach them through Christ,” he said.
“We also encourage our youth to sing, play music and dance in praise of God.”
The Nauru group depart Rarotonga this Friday.
