Whale sanctuary policy goes public
Humpback whales pass by the Cook Islands between July and October every year, part of a more than 6,000 kilometre journey from Antarctica to the warmer waters of the South Pacifi c where they mate, give birth and rest.

The Ministry of Marine Resources (MMR) is starting public consultation on the Draft Whale Sanctuary Policy today.
