Beautiful young Miss Cook Islands-title hopefuls modelled elaborate headpieces created by some of the island's top costume designers, who usually do their amazing creative work in the background.
Glitzy frocks and feathered headpieces created a Mardi Gras atmosphere on the rock at the weekend as the Miss Cook Islands Association rolled out its colourful “Rio Carnivale” festival fundraiser.
