Arrest over parliament smash
A vehicle smashed into the Cook Islands parliament in the early hours of Friday morning, causing considerable damage to the building. Police received a call about the incident, believed to be alcohol-related, at about 2.40am, and subsequently arrested a 21-year-old local man, who was lucky to emerge unharmed from a serious crash.
