Wednesday 1: The Creative Centre in Tupapa has received a brand new mobile phone, thanks to Telecom Cook Islands.

TCI has donated a Nokia C118 phone with a prepaid SIM card and $20 credit. The mobile will be mainly used by the bus driver to remain in constant contact with centre management.

Creative centre coordinator Bob Kimiangatau says the phone will allow caregivers the option of contacting the bus driver direct to help to save time and resources.

The mobile will also be an important tool to enable both parties to stay in contact at all times in case of any emergencies.

Manager for marketing and sales Mark Boyd says Telecom recognises the Creative Centre as an important part of Rarotonga society.

“It’s the support they give the children and adults who attend the centre and make them a part of the greater community.” - TCI
