Prime Minister Henry Puna with leaders from the other Small Islands States of Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and Tuvalu. The seven leaders met on Sunday (CI time) ahead of the 46th summit of the Pacifi c Islands Forum offi cial opening in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea yesterday.

The Cook Islands could have a strong case to become a member of the United Nations, without endangering its relationship with New Zealand.
