Wednesday 1: Create your own adventure

Dear Editor,

We have read the letter about hiking on Rarotonga. That might be alright.

We are now here, for the seventh time and like hiking and walking too.

But, it is really very difficult to find the entrances of these tracks. It would be very helpful if there were signs on the main road, not only on the back road.

We in Germany get organisations and clubs who look after these tracks and do the work.

After six weeks on the island, we were looking for another new adventure and walked in five stages around the island on the ocean side.

We started early in the morning at 7am by motorbike and came back to the start by bus. It was great to see all these nice beaches with the bungalows and villas.

We went over coral and Black Rock, and only a few times on the main road. During this time we met many friendly people and enjoyed talking to them. We took many photos and think a lot of them. It was so easy and we had a wonderful interesting time.
