Letter: Who will foot the bill?

We see in “Court News” that co-accused Poe Poila and Romani Katoa in the Boxing Day knife-wielding incident are being processed through the Criminal Court.

On the night in question, and as seen in the Cook Islands News, a ute ended up upside down in a creek at Tupapa.

Are the matters related? In any case, who is paying for what must be the very expensive repair of the bridge guard rails that has been underway for weeks? Taxpayers would hope that the driver/owner of the ute is footing the bill. What can Trevor Pitt of the police tell us?
