The relocation launch also featured a stylish photo wall, complimentary drinks and the amazing Jerome Pare’s groovy live performance.
On The Rocks is now located at the Cooks Corner Complex (Bus Stop) in the heart of town, providing an ideal location to catch up with friends, enjoy a night out and unwind after a long day.
In just a few weeks, owners Eirangi Marsters Insimo and her husband, Wayne Insimo, their staff and families, worked together making “lipstick and nail polish” improvements to the site.
The improvements include extra bathrooms for the ladies and for the men, more lights and bright one in the car park.
The dance night club, an entertainment and chill out venue, is also an establishment that has created employment which students straight out of college have taken on.
“We have had students working here behind the bar who are now doctors,” said Eirangi.
On The Rocks was previously located at the TJ’s building in town for eight years.
Eirangi recognised the support from their previous landlord at TJs – the late Tonina Browne.
She acknowledged the fantastic support from their staff and their families, her brothers and their families, her husband’s family and the friends involved, and their loyal customers.
Eirangi also acknowledged her supportive parents, King’s representative Sir Tom Marsters and Lady Tuaine Marsters, who were both present at the launch.
She was also grateful for the support from Rohan Ellis, the owner of the Luna Bar that previously occupied the space, Ben Bergman, the property owner, CITC Liquor, and The Bond Store.
Her brother Clee Marsters encouraged their patrons, and “party rockets” to pop in.
The refreshed space was blessed by Tzar Teuira Williams, who is training at the Takamoa CICC Theological College
On The Rocks will open from Monday to Saturday from 3pm to close, but times may change.
