ASPIRING Cook Islands opera star Ridge Ponini has surpassed his achievement at last year’s Green Island singing competitions, taking first place in the junior vocal section for performers 18 and under 21 years and winning the Green Island Competitions Society’s Cleveland Recital Trophy.
