Ngere Puia, President of Netball Cook Islands and tournament director, congratulated all winners and commended the efforts of all players, teams, and officials involved.
“Firstly, a huge congratulation to our Netball in Paradise committee. We were such a small team, but we successfully managed this tournament. With 33 teams competing on just two courts, it was a massive effort. The close scores in the finals, especially the extra-time games, highlighted the competitive spirit and talent on display,” she said.
Puia also praised the contributions of local players, many of whom shone throughout the competition.
“Our local players really stepped up, especially in the mixed division. It’s clear that our talent here in the Cook Islands can hold its own against international players.”
Looking ahead, Puia expressed optimism for future events, including the upcoming Te Are Celebration Netball Tournament.
“It has been a busy year for netball, but we are excited to continue growing the sport and providing more opportunities for our players,” she said.
