This is quite correct: the boss is always the boss unless they are elected representatives of the people.
The counter argument is simple VOTE THEM OUT at the next election. This is how the balance in a democracy is maintained, do not forget the fish at 16 cents a kilo, the water charges, and now the seabed minerals, lack of Police budget, dogs wandering day and night, even the cows at Atupa have started to exercise their rights to feed on whatever flowers they like.
All the above are also Crown responsibilities that based on reality they need to address.
