IT PAYS to be quick for freshest fruit and veges. Drag yourself out of the house this morning and head down to the Punanga Nui Market. From early in the day it’s the place to be, and it’s guaranteed to be buzzing with people looking to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, and a huge range of souvenirs, crafts, clothing and cooked food. Local seasonal produce is available from 8am to 12 noon, but it pays to be quick or you may miss out because the most popular varieties of fruit and vegetables always sell out before closing time.
