The Beach Handball pre-competition is now in its fifth and final preliminary round, setting the stage for an exhilarating conclusion.

As teams vie for a spot in the top four of each category, the excitement is palpable.

This week will determine the playoff contenders, leading to semifinals and finals in the week following Constitution Day in August.

Leading the Mixed Pool are Brew Crew, followed closely by Monemone, Manix, and Mighty Handballers.

With this week’s games being crucial, the standings could change dramatically.

Mitiaro Masters are poised to enter the competition with determination and strong teamwork. A key player to watch is Uini, whose background in volleyball has equipped him with a sharp throwing arm and quick strategic thinking. His ability to identify and exploit gaps in the opposition’s defence makes him a formidable presence on the court.

The Open Men’s Pool is witnessing fierce competition, with Manix at the top, followed by Brew Crew, Monemone, and the National Team (NATs).

The NATs have built a solid defensive unit, thanks to Ethan Livingstone-Van Eijk, Toto Tiaore, and Noovao Blake, under the guidance of coaches Paul Luis Van Eijk and Peter John.

The team’s offensive powerhouses, Eli Topui-Gempton, Makea Pauka, Sean, Punua, and Isaiah, have displayed remarkable skill, particularly with their impressive 360-degree shots. As they gear up to showcase their best, the anticipation is high.

In the Open Women’s Pool, Monemone leads, followed by Mauke, BC Atiu, and Mitiaro Gold. Mitiaro’s standout player, Alone, has been exceptional with her powerful scoring, while Shannon Van Eijk, known as the “danger mouse,” has been crucial with her precise 360 shots. These performances have been key in securing victories for their teams.
