In a highly anticipated match, the undefeated Titikaveka Pearls faced a formidable challenge from the spirited Takuvaine team.
The game was a nail-biter, with Takuvaine’s netballers showing remarkable determination and energy. They fought tirelessly, executing sharp passes and strategic plays in an attempt to unsettle the Pearls.
However, the Pearls, showcasing their agility and strength, maintained their dominance throughout the match. Their precise shooting and solid defence led them to a commanding 49-28 victory.
The second match of the evening saw the Ngatangiia team take on the mighty Avatiu Dragonflies.
The Dragonflies, rejuvenated with the return of key players from overseas, put on an impressive show. From the first whistle, they dominated the court with swift ball movement and accurate shooting. Ngatangiia struggled to keep up with Avatiu’s pace and cohesion.
The Dragonflies’ relentless attack and tight defence overwhelmed Ngatangiia, resulting in a massive 74-19 triumph for Avatiu, much to the delight of their supporters.
The final clash between Tupapa and Arorangi was perhaps the most surprising of the night. Arorangi, known for their tenacity, executed a remarkable comeback.
The match was filled with intense rallies and dramatic turnovers, as Arorangi systematically dismantled Tupapa’s usually strong formation. Despite Tupapa’s formidable reputation in the first round, they found themselves outmanoeuvred and outplayed. Arorangi’s clinical performance and strategic plays secured them a memorable victory.
