The Religious Advisory Council (RAC) held its annual Thanksgiving Prayer Service at the National Auditorium on the evening of Sunday, April 14.

The theme for the service was “Christ is our sure foundation” referencing 2 Samuel 2:22-23.

The event had a great turnout from the general public. The spiritual messages, prayers, and hymns were all uplifting.

At the conclusion of the service, the 2024 RAC chairman, President Thomas Willie, announced the total offerings received on the night which amounted to $1508.80.

The recipient of the donations collected from this public event was Kōrero O Te ‘Ōrau. As with preceding RAC services, all free-willing collected at public services are donated to an NGO or good-health organisation.

A cheque of $1508.80 was presented to Dr Teina Rongo, chairperson of Kōrero O Te ‘Ōrau on Friday, April 19, at the ‘Ātui’anga ki te Tango holiday programme.
