Letter: Get real with our tax dollars

Dear Editor, Perhaps you can have a staff reporter dig through Cook Islands News archives for say the last 40 or so years and pull out all the grand announcements from one government after the other of the commercial enterprises that were launched with government at the controls.

And then, with that list to hand, perhaps a list of those that actually worked out. You might not be wasting much paper and ink on the second list.

Get real with our tax dollars. You can’t run a brand new elevator. Just butt out of the private sector, please.
