Dear Editor, Norman George’s rebuttal to Thomas Wynne’s opinion piece is spot on (A rebuttal to ‘The last pooh bah’, Cook Islands News, November 23).

Wynne’s piece is scurrilous, rude, and wrong. His is an attempt to not only denigrate Sir Gavin Donne’s memory and diminish Sir Tom Davis’s stature but worse to rewrite history and distort the facts of this disgraceful political episode.

Well spotted Norman.

I hope that others from the legal fraternity of the time will join you in supporting Sir Gavin’s memory.
