There were 55 Pacific players, 31 men and 24 women, who competed in the tournament held from September 11-16.
According to David Smith of Oceania Tennis, the event was a Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup type event for Class C Pacific Nations where team played two singles and one doubles in each tie.
The final placings for men’s saw Samoa in first place, followed by Tahiti and Tuvalu while for the women Samoa was also in first place followed by Tahiti and Fiji.
According to Oceania Tennis there were some incredibly tough matches.
Cook Islands players who competed at this event were Norah Browne, Lily Maui, Jason Pierre and Hererahi Teinakirahi.
