Mr Williams, an ex Police offer advising on the health of a Nation. I suspect the trip to Barbados by the health Minister, SoH and Dr May (retiring) at a cost of an estimated $30,000 provided no value to the people of the Cook Islands. Now , off to Tonga. Who at what outcomes or objectives to , who ever is going expect. A week in Tonga, plus airfares $8000.00 per CI attendee? What was spent on the prevous trips undertaken by the MOH and the SOH neither of whom have any medical understanding. The TMO is is crisis with staffing, they reneg on paying promised increase to salaries for front line staff. The finanical reports lots of supplies and Unspent ais money ($16m approx). Underpaide over worked medical front line staff are , even after a promise by Mr Willians told "no new funding, no new vehicles" . Small suggestion, give back you new Government car as shiould the MOH, cnacle 2 trips a year shuld enable TMO to pay and resourse staff approprately. Final question, how does an ex Police officer get to lead the TMO? Does this mean a paramedic could be the next Police commissioner?
