ANZ in partnership with the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce has launched a financial literacy programme.

ANZ’s flagship financial literacy programme- MoneyMinded Business basics will assist small and medium sized business owners in the Cook Islands through gaining new knowledge, skills and confidence to run and grow their businesses.

ANZ states the programme will provide participants with the fundamentals of running a small business, including establishing a vision, writing a business plan, understanding legal and tax obligations and managing cash flow.

ANZ Cook Islands Country Head, Jason Murray said they are committed to supporting the growth of small businesses in the Cook Islands.

“We’ve seen the success of the MoneyMinded Business Basics programme in other countries, and we know that we can replicate that here in the Cook Islands.

“By giving business owners the practical knowledge, skills and confidence they need to start, run and grow their own profitable and sustainable businesses, we know we can help the Cook Islands economy to thrive,”

“We’ll continue to invest in our financial education programs, MoneyMinded and MoneyMinded Business Basics, because we know that they work,” Mr Murray said.

Local businesses who would like to take part in MoneyMinded Business Basics training should contact the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce on chamber@commerce.co.ck or +68220925.
