There will be a road closure at Avarua Roundabout on Tuesday morning to accommodate the event as attendees will make their way from the Avarua Harbour side to Takuvaine Rd, and a walk to the Takuvaine Kapua’anga Meeting House (Avaiki Tautau).
The procession will mean the complete closure of the Main Rd through the roundabout and Takuvaine Rd to the Back Rd.
Emergency services only will be allowed access, if required.
Police have advised the programme times, and the congestion of traffic and people, around the event.
The arrival of the Gospel delegation by vaka at Avarua Harbour from Avatiu is scheduled for 9am on Tuesday.
The ceremonial activity is expected to run until the appropriate time for the procession to cross and walk to the Meeting House by 10am.
Police officers will be supervising the traffic movement, and will ease the flow as soon as the procession allows.
