The sunset side is rough and potholed whilst the other appears well maintained. Whatever differences the local government have amongst themselves needs to be resolved in favour of getting the best out of tourism with so many visitors choosing Rarotonga as their destination. We tend to go around the whole island. Not just up and down one side.
Maybe if the road was in better condition we could actually do some more walking too.
Between the dogs coming off their property and biting one of us on the leg and the potholes it was far from a pleasant wander.
And being on a scooter with two of us, potholes can be a tad scary when the suspension is a bit old.
Love your island but come on – 32kms of main road isn’t really too much to ask for the whole road to be in good condition.
