Mata Eli (left), Mata Manuela and Ngapoko Strickland will again be selling their fresh farm produce on the road side opposite the CITC Supermarket this Friday.

The cheerful women set up their stalls at the busy strip every Friday morning, selling variety of cooked food, root crops and vegetables which include bananas, rukau, nu, avocados, chestnuts, home-made poke, maniota uki and whatever produce are ready to be harvested from their plantations.

Manuela said they enjoy being in town on Fridays and enjoy chatting to customers and catching up with family and friends stopping by to purchase produce.

Support local farmers and visit the women at their popular roadside stall on Friday to see what else they will have on offer. Cooked chestnuts are popular with locals and in high demand.
