Tutai Junior Amiri appeared before Justice of the Peace Tangi Taoro at Avarua yesterday.
His lawyer Norman George said Amiri was due to be sentenced, but was arrested over the weekend and charged with drink driving.
George asked for disclosure and asked for Amiri, who was in custody, to receive bail.
Police said they were happy for him to be released, but wanted curfew conditions to continue.
Disclosures would be forthcoming.
George said he did not object to a curfew.
JP Taoro said a probation report had been received, and due to changes, George had asked for disclosure.
The matter was adjourned to May 11 and Amiri was told not to consume or purchase alcohol, or enter licenced premises.
